With a successful harvest there is always a great meal. Hi, I am Natasha and here are some of my favourite receipes that have been marinated over the years. From wild game, fish, poultry and homestead side dishes, these are family and friend approved and have been tested with great success and with many compliments!

Tips:
Success with your game to improve flavour and texture:
- All fresh meat should be hung up untill it has completely bled and cooled thoroughly.
- Salt meats and rabbits should be soaked over night in cold waters
- Do not over season meats, and add the salt and pepper just before its nearly done.
- Trim all fat espesially off of the venison
Successful Storage:
Refridgeration- Like other meats, game is perishable
Uncooked Game- Cover or wrap loosely; use within 3-4 days. Organ meats and ground game should be used within 1-2 days.
Cooked Game- Left over cooked game may be stored in covered container in refrigerator. Use within 3-4 days for best flavour.
Freezing Meat- Label all packaged game with name of product, date frozen and amout or weight.. Store at zero degrees. For best eating use game within 4 months.
Note: it is wise to take animal to butcher or meat processing plant to be properly cut and wrapped.
